This is a play written by a young Spanish writer who has since, as far as I know, gone on to write tv soaps and sit coms. I hope he is allowed to bring the same talent to them he brought to this play. Its the story of a shop owner of Moroccan origin who is trying to fake a pratfall on his video camera so it can be shown on a TV reality show.
It was originally a reading, and then given a full production.
It’s also published in a volume called ‘Spanish Plays’ by Nick Hern books. Every year they solemnly send me a statement to tell me it has earned 75p (in a good year) in royalties.
