I was really proud of this. The libretto tells the story of an office worker who walks out of her job and goes on a journey towards self fulfillment.
I thought the music was very beautiful too.
It was in a double bill with ‘Tourist Variations’ by Heggie and Macmillan.
75 critics came to the opening night, and they all loathed it. I have never suffered such abuse, before or since. But the opera didn’t deserve it. I hope it lives again some day.
